A Letter from the MACC President…

January 29, 2020 by Editor Leave a Comment

Season Greetings MACC Members and prospective Members!

As I wind down my 1st year as your chamber president, I reflect on what was accomplished for 2019 and what can be improved for 2020. I must say that this year certainly had it’s changes that did not go unnoticed by some, which did lead to several “we’ve always done it this way” conversations that ended up in disappointment for others. However, if you’re not changing, you’re not growing. I am firmly committed in viewing every idea, event, fundraiser, meeting, workshop, etc. through the mindset of: “how is this benefitting our MEMBERS?”

I am grateful for the fellow MACC Board Members who are open to the growth I envision for the Manchester Business Community! Our 2020 MACC Board includes the following members:

President: Jennifer Wojtowicz, Proper Property Services Inc
Vice President: Barry Allen, Lions Club
Treasurer: Tammy Melcher, Old National Bank
Secretary: Kathleen Dimond, Manchester District Library
Trustee: Elizabeth Beaudoin, Manchester Vet Clinic
Trustee: Linda Stevens, Village Hair Forum
Trustee: Sue LaRocque, River Raisin Antiques
Trustee: Ryan Lentz, Over The Edge Sports Bar & Pizzeria

As we head into 2020, I am excited to review the continued GROWTH and new ideas for our Business Community! We will continue to help educate our members with workshops, offer advertising discounts, improve the chamber’s image and presence, and look out for the best interest of our members.

Some of our community events, especially 3rd Thursdays will be well improved upon and be an even bigger draw for our Business Community. I highly recommend you get involved with any of our event committees, you are going to love what we have in store for 2020! I encourage you to take advantage of the workshops we offer, there are so many things we all have yet to learn to continue to better our businesses! I suggest you use our upcoming advertising discounts to help further promote your business to the masses! And…by mid-December, you will want to take advantage of our very new and improved, impressive chamber website!

Our NEW website will be live in the next few weeks. No more hard to navigate site. No more “how do we know what ‘s going on around town and when the meetings are???” confusion. No more difficult to find or even knowing that our chamber exists. Each member will be able to have their own direct link webpage through the chamber website! Our Business Community will begin to have an online presence, popping up in google searches and being used by community members on a regular basis as a reference to know what is going on in Manchester.

In short, the Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce is BACK! Thank you for being a loyal member. Join us for a successful 2020!
